Update on Kane County Covid-19 and the Governor’s Announcement

In last Friday’s press release, the Illinois Department of Public Health informed the public that Kane County has now been added to the Watch List, meaning Kane County had an increase in two (2) of the eight (8) COVID-19 metrics.  In the past week(s), the following has transpired:

  1. When there are two consecutive weeks with more than a 20% increase in deaths; Kane County went from four (4) deaths to seven (7) death; and,
  2. The number of new cases of COVID went from 50 people out of 100,000 to 105 people out of 100,000.

In an effort to improve public health and curb the chance for spreading the virus we ask Maple Park residents to mask up, practice social distancing and wash their hands.

We are also asking residents to assist Maple Park businesses (especially the bars and restaurants) in their efforts to prevent the spread of the virus by following these same practices when you patronize the businesses.
